In September 2016 IES Ltd has ventured into Asia by opening a new company. The new company will venture into textile quality control inspection services which involves the monitoring and control of garments such as clothing items that are produced in Bangladesh from textiles such as cotton and synthetic materials.  The inspection stations will be placed at raw material purchase, product design, manufacture and pre-shipment. The inspection will involve material identification, stress testing, design matching, product measurement verification, metal check and final visual on packaging before being signed off for shipping.

This new service will compliment the existing provision of weld engineering, welding and painting inspection, non-destructive testing including the new service provision of Phased Array ultrasonic inspection and UAV arial inspection.

Managing directors Dave Burke and Ahashan Habib said that this new service provision will enhance the company’s capability’s and has the potential to attract a new client base which may not have been available previously in the Bangladesh market. In future if this new venture is successful it will be rolled out in some of the neighbouring countries.
